Call for Innovators: Apply for the Inspiration Challenge 2025 

Do you have a passion for innovation and a solution that could change the biogases industry? Are you ready to share your groundbreaking idea in front of a wide audience and receive valuable feedback? 

 Look no further, we are thrilled to announce the second edition of the EBA Inspiration Challenge, an initiative organised during the European Biogas Conference as part of the European Biomethane Week. 

This short session will be organised in a “pitch” format, with participants presenting inspirational ideas in a short timeframe in front of a live audience. EBA is looking for the best inspirational ideas that push boundaries and have the potential to make a lasting impact. 

We invite proposals from companies or projects that are advancing sustainability across any stage of the biogas value chain. Whether you are a newcomer or a project at an early commercialization stage (TRL 6), your idea could be the one to change the game. 

 

 Who can apply?

  • Any company or individuals from the biogases value chain, EBA and non EBA members.
  • Shortlisted candidates will be required to register and attend the conference in Brussels on 14–15 October 2025 in order to participate in the final election process.

 How to apply

  1. Submit your idea proposal: Candidates should fill out the online application form by 30 June 2025. 
  2. Idea proposal review: An expert panel will review all submissions and select the top entries.
    • By submitting your application, you acknowledge and accept the decisions and criteria set by the jury—a panel of experts drawn from independent organizations, entirely separate from the EBA Secretariat.
  3. Inspiration Challenge session: 5 short-listed candidates will be invited to present their ideas in front of a live audience during the second day of the European Biogas Conference, on 15 October 2025.

 Presentation Session (35′)

  • Intro: Presentation of the 5 short-listed candidates.
  • Presentations: The candidates will present their ideas in no more than 3 minutes.
  • Questions: A Q&A session will be organised.
  • Vote: The audience will vote for their preferred proposal via via an online platform and select a winner. The prize will be a symbolic recognition. 

 Important dates

  • Submission deadline: 30 June 2025.
  • Finalists’ announcement: September 2025.
  • Presentation day: 15 October 2025.
