Peter Schley
Peter Schley is the co-founder and Managing Director of SmartSim GmbH, a company established in 2018 as a spin-off from E.ON. SmartSim GmbH has developed an innovative solution for gas quality tracking, facilitating the integration of biomethane into gas networks. This technology has already been implemented by over 40 grid operators worldwide.
Prior to this, Peter Schley spent more than 20 years in various roles at Ruhrgas and E.ON, where he managed several research and innovation projects in the fields of thermodynamics, gas quality, and energy metrology.
Peter Schley has been actively involved in various industrial associations and committees, including DVGW, GERG, and ISO. He holds a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering and a PhD in flow simulation. He has authored over 50 scientific articles published in international journals and conference proceedings.
