Mathieu De Carvalho

Mathieu has more than 20 years’ experience in the gas field (natural gaz - LNG - biogas and biomethane). Demonstrated history of Commercial Operations, Regulation and Advocacy and developed strong expertise in the gas value chain, Operations Management, and Operational Excellence. At the date of the creation of the Biogas BU within TotalEnergies on 1st September 2020, Mathieu was appointed Head of Regulation & Advocacy of the BU and is now Regulation & Public Affairs Sr Manager since January 2024 for the Branch “Gas, Renewables and Power”, covering gas, LNG and biogas.

Before being involved in TotalEnergies biogas business, Mathieu held various positions in natural gas and LNG business within Engie, mainly involved in dispatch, commercial operations and project development.

Mathieu is an energy engineer, graduated from the Université de Technologie de Compiègne and holds a master's degree in gas engineering from the Ecole des Mines de Paris and the French Ministry of Industry.
