Maciej Ciszewski

Head of Unit of Diversification of Strategy and Joint Purchasing , DG ENER, European Commission

Maciej Ciszewski has been working at the European Commission since 2008, focusing on energy markets. Since 2022, he has been leading the development of the EU Energy Platform, AggregateEU, and is currently working on new mechanisms for demand aggregation and joint purchasing of hydrogen and its derivatives, gases, and critical raw materials.

Between 2021 and 2022, he served as Advisor to the Director-General of DG Energy, Ditte Juul Jørgensen, on matters related to the internal energy market, security of supply, and international energy relations. From 2008 to 2014, he worked at DG Competition on antitrust cases in the energy sector.

He holds an MSc in Engineering, a degree in International Economics, and an MA from the College of Europe in Bruges.
