The biogas sector primarily focuses on the substrate and efficiency of digesters, but managing liquid digestate is becoming a significant issue. New EU Nitrate directives make it increasingly difficult for biogas plants to dispose of liquid digestate, leading to higher disposal costs or expensive treatment options. NPHarvest provides a technology that efficiently removes and recovers nitrates and phosphates from liquid digestate, offering the most cost-effective nutrient recovery method globally. In a field often dominated by penalties and extra fees, NPHarvest stands out as a beneficial solution.
