Carlos Aguilar

Born in 1998, Carlos Aguilar is already playing a significant role in the expansion of European biomethane. He joined Biorig when Solarig launched its renewable gases platform in 2023 and today serves as Director of Development & M&A.

In just three years, Carlos has helped build a portfolio of more than 20 biomethane projects in Spain while supporting Biorig’s expansion into Italy and Poland. His work brings together the many elements required to turn biomethane opportunities into viable projects — from feedstock availability, grid access and permitting to land, technology, regulation, stakeholder engagement and long-term commercial viability.

What distinguishes Carlos is the scale of responsibility he has assumed at an early stage of his career.
