Ditte Juul Jørgensen

Director-General for Energy, DG ENER , European Commission

Ms. Ditte Juul Jørgensen is currently the Director-General for Energy at the European Commission. In this capacity, she leads work to ensure access to affordable, secure and sustainable energy in Europe as part of the energy transition towards climate neutrality. Ditte Juul Jørgensen has more than 30 years’ experience in the European Commission, leading policy development, international negotiations and enforcement in the fields of international trade, competition, sustainable development, climate and energy. Ditte Juul Jørgensen also served as Economic Counsellor in the European Union Delegation to the United Nations in New York. In addition to her work in the European Commission, Ditte Juul Jørgensen has been teaching at universities to share a practioner’s insights into energy and trade policy. Ditte Juul Jørgensen is a graduate in law from the University of Copenhagen, Denmark, and the College of Europe in Bruges, Belgium.
