Biogas-Beyond Energy: Reforming Agriculture and Energy in Greece

The Hellenic Association of Biogas Producers (HABIO) organised the Conference “Biogas-Beyond Energy: Reforming Agriculture and Energy in Greece” on Thursday, 26th October 2023, to present current developments in the sector and highlight the decisive contribution of Biogas to energy, agriculture and the environment.

Particular emphasis was placed on Biomethane which, as a derivative of Biogas, is the most competitive and immediately available renewable fuel.

Participants had the opportunity to visit Mega Eco biogas production unit, in Megara, which applies innovative technologies in the treatment and utilization of liquid digestate for the production of fertilizers. The conference was held in Greek.
