Jasper Nillesen

Jasper Nillesen is the Executive Director at ReFuels, a leading specialist in sourcing and supplying biomethane for transportation in Europe. ReFuels is in the sweet spot of the biomethane supply chain, from upstream sourcing based in The Hague, Netherlands, to downstream distribution to heavy goods vehicles through our expanding network of CNG stations in the United Kingdom.

With over 15 years of experience in the renewable energy sector, Jasper founded ReFuels in 2016, paving the way for innovation in the biomethane industry. He began his professional career in consultancy after earning his master’s degree in Civil Engineering from Delft University of Technology. After nearly a decade in consultancy, Jasper transitioned to the energy sector, where he held various positions. He worked on M&A projects for the energy company RWE and played a key role in launching Powerhouse Belgium, a subsidiary of RWE. He subsequently served as the Director of B2B Sales at RWE-Essent. In 2014, Jasper established his first company, Renewable Energy Services, to develop the international biomethane market.

Since its inception, ReFuels has been a pioneer in the biomethane industry, shaping and creating innovative solutions for biomethane in the transport sector across Europe. We collaborate with stakeholders throughout the entire biomethane supply chain, from well to wheel. Our goal is to empower companies to transition to green, clean, and sustainable fuel, helping to reduce harmful emissions while benefiting from our efficient, reliable, and cost-effective service.
